Alan Bowman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alan Bowman (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Alan may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn; his daughters, Alissa (David Stewart) and Blythe (Albert Balestrieri); and his sisters, Rhonda Sells and Nancy Jackson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the West Minster Presbyterian Church (4114 Allison Ave, Des Moines, IA 50301). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (4114 Allison Ave, Des Moines, IA 50310).
