She was predeceased by : her parents, Sam Monroe and Louise Monroe (Devine); and her sister Jeanne Ware. She is survived by : her former life partner Leslie "Eddie" Dorsett; her husband Ted Erickson; her sons, Bill Dorsett (Denise) of Panora and Brian Dorsett (Beth) of Panora; her stepchildren, Ted Erickson (Cindy) of Des Moines, Kim Clayton (Lynn) of Des Moines and Kathy Woods (Mike) of Des Moines; her grandchildren, Bailey (Brody), Abbey (Michael), MacKenzie (Josh), Dalton (Tiffany), Laura (Chad) and Nate (Heidi); and her stepgrandchildren, William (Jacque), Alec, Daniel (Kat), Kyle (Staci), Branden, Sarah, Eric (Amanda) and Lauren (Chico). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way, 1 great-great-granddaughter.
She was a volunteer at the Guthrie County Hospital in Guthrie Center where she helped with the Hospital Foundation Board for around 6 years with 5 of those years working with Jody Sutton.
