He was predeceased by: his parents, William Grinstead and Anna Grinstead. He is survived by: his siblings, Sally (Honnold), Jeanette (Ballard), Jeanine (Harrington) and James; his wife Norma Sorensen; and his children, Linda Newsom (Jim), Susan Milliken (Bill), Geri Seiberling (Kevin) and Jason Grinstead (Mary). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
