He is survived by: his wife Emillie Grace Tereze; his sons, Thomas S. Haynie (Roxanne Elings) of New York, NY, James P. Haynie (Gretchen) and Ipswich; his grandchildren, John E. Haynie (Jack) of Washington, D. C., Altana Elings-Haynie of Philadelphia, PA and Roscoe D. Elings-Haynie of Seattle, WA.; and his son Jett.
