She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Baker and Opal Baker (Briggs); her son Mark Van Zandt; her niece Julie Baker; her brothers, Richard Baker, Jr. and Jimmy Baker; and her brother-in-law Marvin Troutman.
She is survived by: her daughter Diane Elliott (Don); her daughter-in-law Gretchen Van Zandt; her grandchildren, Jack Ruby, Angela Rhoades (Ryan), Jared Battani (Kathryn), Ramsey Van Zandt and Dylan Van Zandt; and her sister Linda Troutman. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Laurel Hill Cemetery (3601 E Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317).
