He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Rittmer and Lois Rittmer (Hass); his former wife Katherine Woods; his children, Mark and Becky; and his brothers, Russell Rittmer, Sheldon Rittmer and Orville Rittmer.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Woods; his children, Jeff, Connie Rittmer of DeWitt, Lisa and Brian Costello of Park View; his grandchildren, Trisha Sheldon (Keith), Rick McDermott (Alli Kuhel), Krystle Jaeger (Cody), Jeffrey Rittmer (Mariah Reiland), Chelsea LaCarte (Christian) and Tyler Costello; and his great grandchildren, Kalea Sheldon, Arielle Jaeger, Brady Jaeger, Kai LaCarte, Sage LaCarte and Leonard McDermott. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
