It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Steines of Dewitt, Iowa, who passed away on June 23, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wilfrid J. Scheckel and Margaret J. Scheckel (Kilburg); her husband Verlyn J. Steines; her children, Leisha Goettsch (Lonny) of Calamus and Larry Steines of DeWitt; her grandchildren, Leah Warnemunde (Adam), Lance Goettsch (Molly), Logan Goettsch and Landon Goettsch (Gabrielle); her great grandchildren, Jack and James Warnemunde; her siblings, Verlyn Scheckel (Joanne) and Merwyn Scheckel (Carleen); her sister-in-law Janet Scheckel; her siblings, Charles and Joyce Bauer (Bill); and her sister-in-law Joyce Scheckel. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
