He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Coral Krukow Hesse; his parents, Gladys Gertrude (Holcomb) and John Willis Hesse; his former spouse Bill Gribbon; his children, Doug (Becky) of Denver, Joellyn McDonnell (John) of DeWitt, Susan Frahm (Terry) of DeWitt, Kathleen Miller (Rick) of Leander, Barbara Range (Doug) of Lilburn and John of Cumming, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Monica Hesse (Rob Cox), Andrew Hesse (Molly), Paige Osburn (Armand Emamdjomeh), Shannon Schroetter (Phil), Josh McDonnell (Nicole), Jason McDonnell (Sarah), Adam McDonnell (Jill), Sean Hunter, Katie Rebers (Ryan), Austin (Jessica Miller), Courtney Lozano (Dusty), Nathan Hesse, Jade Helm (James), Jacob Range, Jenna Range, Jared Hesse and Justin Hesse. He was also cherished by 14 great-grandchildren.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities, Kids Fishing Foundation, and the DeWitt Fire Department.
