He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Schlapia and Vivian Schlapia (Pratt); his brother Jerry; and his stepfather Dwain Blake. He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Leigh (Jason); his wife Cindy; his children, Amy Novak (Jeremy) and Adam Schlapia (Ronnel); his grandchildren, Ethan, Sam, Kyle, Kayla Heck, Jacob, Joey, Justin Novak, Mady, Ryker, Mikayla Henson and Wyatt Schlapia; his brothers, Alvin Schlapia (Mary Ann) and Ron Schlapia (Toni); and his sister-in-law Rosemary Hullinger. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
