She was predeceased by : her parents, James Turnquist and Glenn Turnquist (Larson); her husband William Nielsen; and her siblings, Verlin, Robert Turnquist, Mary Ann Wellmerling, Mickey Wellmerling and Joyce Hurley.

She is survived by : her sons, Steven Nielsen (Linda) of Cedar Falls and Robert (Alta) of Linn Creek, Missouri; her grandchildren, Paul Nielsen, Karl Nielsen (Brandi), Krissy Nielsen, Eric (Amber Greer) and Harrison Nielsen; and her great grandchildren, Kaylee Nielsen, Hayden and Nevaeh Nielsen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
