We bid farewell to Karen Schafer of Drakesville, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 28, 2025 at the age of 73. Karen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Myers and Norma Stivers Myers; and her partner Jessie Clemmons. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Schafer (Sonja) of Unionville and Brian Schafer (Natasha) of Bloomfield; her grandchildren, Jamie La Rue (Kim), Tommy Schafer, Brandon Schafer (Barza), Lacey Simmers (Lucas), Christina Enlow (Jessica), Dylan Jones (Melissa) and Katie Wiley (Brad); her sister Dorothy Stogdill (D. G.) of Pulaski, Iowa; and her nieces, Sarah and Laura. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wagler Funeral Home (304 W Jefferson St, Bloomfield, IA 52537).
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to her family.
