We bid farewell to Ellen M. Hennenfent of Dubuque, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 26, 2025 at the age of 86. Ellen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Thibaudeau and Elizabeth Thibaudeau (Wilson); her husband Rex E. Hennenfent; and her sister Nancy Ashby (Bill). She is survived by: her children, Jane Tyrrell of Chicago, IL and Thomas Hennenfent of Dyersville, IA; her siblings, Linda Ditzman (Don) of Green Bay, WI, Janice Trial (Dan) of Ellisville, MO and Paul Thibaudeau (Susan) of Wauwatosa, WI; her son-in-law Ian Tyrrell of Pittsfield, MA; and her caregiver Diane Eddy (David) of Sherrill, IA.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (4300 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for The Cradle (Illinois Adoption Agency & Counseling Service), Resurrection Catholic Church, Eagle Pointe Place, or Hospice of Dubuque.
