He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Kohlenberg and Arlene Kohlenberg (Hueneke); and his sister Joann Kasik (Kohlenberg). He is survived by : his son Chad (Meghan) of Dubuque; his wife Eileen (Wagner); his grandchildren, Serenity, Sienna and Teague; his sister Jeanette Jamieson (James) of Plymouth, MA; and his sister-in-law Ann Wagner of Ankeny, IA. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.

Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church in St. Donatus.
