He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Lorenzen and Ada Lorenzen (Hanisch); his siblings, Russ Lorenzen, Donn Lorenzen, Bill Lorenzen (Billie Jene) and Sandra Seamann (Lee); his parents-in-law, Albert and Helen Meggers (Billerbeck); and his sisters-in-law, Charlene Sharp (Rolly) and Carol Meggers.
He is survived by: his spouse Luane Lorenzen (Meggers); his daughters, Ann Flatness (Charlie), Sue Trunck (Darren) and Lora Hefty (Doug); his grandchildren, Jacob Flatness (Chandler), Alexandra Connelly (Shane), Sydney Flatness (Tanner Bruncheon), Skyler Trunck (Alyssa), Dillan Trunck (Katrina), Trevor Trunck, Lucas Hefty (Autumn) and Nolan Hefty; his great grandchildren, Rosalyn Flatness, Benson, Noah Connelly, Beckett, Hudson Trunck, Tezlyn and Amira Trunck; his sister June Meikle; and his sisters-in-law, Frances Lorenzen and Marian Lorenzen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (800 S Main St, Dysart, IA 52224). A memorial service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
