He is survived by : his children, Bert McDaniel (Sue) of Eldon, IA, James McDaniel of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jason McDaniel (Shireen) of Eldon, IA and Ashley McDaniel of Eldon, IA; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Kinzer and Kaizley; his siblings, Ivan McDaniel (Judy) and Phyllis Bottger; and his close friend Shelly Hughes.

Memorial contributions in Gary's honor may be directed to the Living Hope Bible Church.
