She is survived by : her parents, Robert Beert and Dorothy Beert (Lage) of Eldridge, IA; her husband Bill Shockey; her sons, Todd Sleep (Angela) of Dubuque, IA and Joseph Sleep (Alisa) of Middleton, WI; and her siblings, Julie Hoffmann (Mike) of Eldridge, IA, Robin Beert (Trudy) of Long Grove, IA and Sandra Powell (Rik) of Marion, IA. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
