She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Flaherty and Beatrice Flaherty (Bruce); her husband Ardian Hetland; her daughter Michelle Mabee; her sisters, Jeannette Brodale (Arnold), Bonnie "Timmie" Shimon (John) and Jacqueline Hilleary; her grandchildren, Logan, Afton Fisher and Ashely Mabee; her son-in-law J. C. Powers; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Hartmann and David A. Darr Sr..

She is survived by: her daughters, Janeen Powers-Butson (Dale) of Hampton, IA, Lynet Fisher (David) of Ames, IA and Kelly Hetland of Story City, IA; her grandchildren, Colt Powers (Kara), Mason Mabee, Chester and Levi Fisher; her great grandchildren, Hope, Remington, Joseph and Lincoln Powers; her great great grandchild Grace; her son-in-law Mark Mabee; and her brother-in-law Bud Hilleary. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
