She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Austin and Mildred Austin (Neilson); her in-laws, George and Augusta Strenge; her siblings, Marcella Giles (Wendell) and Glen Austin (Margaret); her sister-in-law Priscilla Petersen (Les); and her siblings' children, Alesia Petersen and Stan Petersen.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Strenge (Mona) of Estherville, Kevin Strenge (Evy) of Estherville and Jacquelyn Brobst of Sioux Falls; her grandchildren, Matthew Strenge (Jessica), Brett Strenge (Kelly), Brooke Jerke (Kris), Austin Strenge (Marie), Zachary Brobst and Nicholas Brobst; and her brothers-in-law, Richard Strenge (Tammy), Rodney Strenge (Myrna) and Roger Strenge. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel-Estherville (401 N 7th St, Estherville, IA 51334). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church - Estherville (409 N 6th St, Estherville, IA 51334).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Estherville or the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.
