With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen La Rene Hanson of Forest City, Iowa, born in Crystal Lake, Iowa, who passed away on July 15, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maynard Powers and Marian Powers (Davis); and her siblings, Marlene Bushman and Jack Powers. She is survived by: her husband Marlen Hanson of Forest City; her children, Julie Hensley (Eric), Kristopher Hanson (Joan) and Kerby Hanson; her grandchildren, Nickolas Hensley, Kaylie Hensley, Rachael Hanson, Kollin Hanson, Jim Hanson and Morgan Hanson; and her sisters-in-law, Wanda Powers and Mary Wilson (Garry).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Karen Hanson memorial fund in care of the family.
