She is survived by: her children, Debra Ottey, Marcia Arndt, Mary Arndt and Douglas Arndt (Brenda); her grandchildren, Sean Ottey, Steven Ottey (Tara Sloan Smith), Samuel Ottey, Susan Ottey, Spencer Ottey, Mike Arndt (MaryAnne), Melissa Vaudt, Matthew Penning, Tricia Penning (Aaron Leonard) and Amanda Arndt; her great grandchildren, Joshua Ottey, Nathaniel Ottey, London Wilson, Dystine Penning, Tayah Lande, Brayden Arndt, Miyahka Arndt, Sidney Walton (Jarreet Fairholm), Brett Walton (Natasha), Kinley Vaudt, Ryann Vaudt and Madison Penning; her great great grandchild Brennan Walton; and her brother Jerry Christensen (Janet). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Madison Township Cemetery (1256 US-69, Forest City, IA 50436). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Asbury United Methodist Church (107 E Main St, Lake Mills, IA 50450). The inurnment was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Madison Township Cemetery (1256 US-69, Forest City, IA 50436).
