He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Andersen and Lucille Andersen (Shelton); his nephews, Lucas Helgevold, Michael Jason Sandoval and Bret Steck; and his great-niece Maria Andersen.

He is survived by: his former wife Debra Gray; his children, Sara (Dan Harris) of Fort Dodge, Ryan (Erika Harwood) of Fort Dodge and Nathan (Sadie) of Lehigh, IA; his grandchildren, Leah, Cory, Samantha, Emily, Sylas, Grace, Mila and Layla; and his siblings, Lola Wann (Tom) of Odessa, MO, Doug Andersen (Maryjo) of Davenport, IA, Valerie Steck (Mark) of Harcourt, Sondra Sandoval (Mike) of Pueblo West, CO and Sherry Orozco (Mike) of Bettendorf, IA.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.
