He was predeceased by: his parents, Craig McWhortor and Iris Phillips McWhortor. He is survived by: his wife Deborah McWhortor of Ft. Madison; his daughters, Christina Franklin of Minneapolis, MN, Belinda Shallcross of Ft. Madison and Jessica McWhortor of Ft. Madison; his grandchildren, Alexander, Zachary, Emma, Nora, David and Benjamin; his half-brother Jim Carey of Danville; and his cousins, Kent, Kirk McWhortor and Randy Cummings.
