It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Edward Bertlshofer Jr. of Fort Madison, Iowa, who passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles, Sr. Bertlshofer and Mary Bertlshofer (Cormick); and his sisters, Joan Reid and Debbie Burghoffer. He is survived by : his wife Karen Sue Randell; his children, Michael Charles Bertlshofer (Angi) of Galesburg, Illinois and Tracy Lynn Morrison (Mike) of North Liberty, Iowa; his grandchildren, Tyler Morrison, Stephen Bertlshofer, Michael Bertlshofer, Kylee Bertlshofer and Bryan Bertlshofer; his siblings, Carol Faeth (David) of Eldridge, Judy Hunsaker (Ron) of Burlington, Iowa and Edward Bertlshofer of Fort Madison, Iowa; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Reid of Burlington and Aaron Burghoffer of Fort Madison, Iowa.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established for the Donnellson Fire & Rescue.
