She was predeceased by: her parents, James Higgins and Betty Currin Higgins; and her daughter Amy. She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Yaunk of Houston, TX; her granddaughter Autumn Fritzjunker of Houston, TX; her close friend Vince Damico; and her siblings, Edith Readinger, Shirley Pranger, Kathy McPherson, Peter Higgins of Ft. Madison and Daniel Higgins of Ft. Madison. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eagles' Club (4821 Avenue O, Fort Madison, IA 52627).
