He was predeceased by : his parent Orville Smith (Gladys); his wife Patricia Irving; and his children, Scott Maben and Sarah Maben. He is survived by : his grandchildren, Dakotah Allison (Michael) of Mason City, Jeremy Maben of Garner and Jenna DeFazio (James) of Huron, OH; his great grandchildren, Riley Maben, Caleb, Elijah and Evelyn DeFazio; his brother Duane Maben (Diane) of Texas; his sisters-in-law, Carol Anderson (Paul) of Appleton, WI and Helen Sammons (Thomas) of Tyler, TX; his nephews, Shane, Shannon and Justin Maben; and his niece Kaley Maben.
