He was predeceased by: his parents, Raphael Fischels and Winifred Steimel Fischels; and his brothers, Richard Fischels, Jerome Fischels and Harry Fischels.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Hart of Gilbertville; his daughter Amy Fischels of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Landon Wolf, Haydon Wolf and Camden Boyer; his sister Karen Williams (Arzania Jr.) of Bolingbrook, IL; and his sister-in-law Karen Fischels of Gilbertville.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service (400 South St, Waterloo, IA 50701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (311 15th Ave, Gilbertville, IA 50634).
