As we bid Mary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Kempton and Bertha Kempton (Callahan); and her sister Darline Sparr. She is survived by: her husband Gordon Elwood of Glenwood; and her children, Vickie Felos (Steve) of Glenwood, April Gillespie (Clyde) of Hastings, IA, Terry Elwood (Terri) of Silver City, IA, Kathy Skelly of Omaha and Kevin Elwood of Glenwood. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of special friends.
