She was predeceased by : her parents, Everett Samuels and Alice Samuels (Kloppenberg); her husband Max Townsend; her children, Catherine and Michael Townsend; and her sister Leota.
She is survived by : her children, Christina Fortner of Lynnville, Mark Townsend of Norwalk, Caryn Webb (Paul) of Montezuma and Martin Townsend (Jessica) of Montezuma; and her grandchildren, Cory Townsend (Carissa), Luke Townsend (Abbie), Dustin Winchell (Teresa), Derek Winchell (Kiley), Alyssa Carrison, River Webb, Codi Townsend, Shayla Townsend, Keegan Clayton, Zach Townsend (Olivia), Jerica Clayton, Tristan Townsend and Aubrie Townsend. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
