With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Esther Rohrssen of Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on August 17, 2022 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Waschkat and Alvina Meier Waschkat; her husband Earl W. Rohrssen; and her sisters, Helen Hyman and Evelyn Kirchkoff.
She is survived by : her son Larry Rohrssen (Evelyn) of Waverly; her grandchildren, Kristin Kuiper of Waverly and Thomas Rohrssen of Hastings, Minnesota; her great grandchild Maria Kuiper of Cedar Falls; and her sister Adella Strempke (Clarence) of Sumner.
Memorial contributions may be designated to St. John's Lutheran Church in Sumner or to St. John's Lutheran Church in Grinnell and mailed in c/o Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.
