He was predeceased by: his father Lyle Askeland; his brother Greg; and his nephew William Tridle IV. He is survived by: his mother Virginia Askeland (Bruellman) of Griswold, IA; his wife Sherry Askeland of Griswold, IA; his sons, Ryan Askeland (Sara) of Griswold, IA and Cory Askeland (Ashley) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Makenna, Marissa, Zach, Sam and Evan; his stepmother Jo Ann Askeland; and his siblings, Kim Thompson, Tina Sindt (Kevin) and Todd Askeland (Nancy). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
