He is survived by: his wife Marlys Hoppenworth of Grundy Center; his children, Tim Haverkamp (Shirley) of Tulsa, OK, Lisa Ackart (Brent) of Cornville, AZ and Steve Haverkamp of Grundy Center; his sisters, Esther Meier of Bella Vista and Elaine Meihost of Waterloo; his stepmother Gertrude; his children, Sharon Orr and Roger Portwine; his grandson Tracy Brase; and his brothers, Elmer, Richard, LaVerne, Erwin and Harold Haverkamp. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
