She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley and Maude Welsh (Monroe); her husband James Hankes; and her siblings, Vanita Hines (Welsh), Beverly Helm (Welsh), Gerald Welsh, Leland Welsh and Bill Welsh.
She is survived by: her children, James Hankes Jr. (Jane Thein), Roxy Knockel (Leonard), Julie Trappe (Jim), Brenda Fassbinder (Dennis), Mark Hankes (Dawn) and Lisa Weddel (Tom); her sister Peg Bangs; and her children, Ed Van Lennep and Judy Greve (Doerr). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
