He was predeceased by: his siblings, Anna Bries, Imogene Feldmann (Carl), JoAnn Wille (Donald) and James Bries (Darlene). He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean (Berns); his children, Lisa Odson (James) of Ankeny, Vicki Rieder (Jon) of Seven Valleys, PA, Lori Digmann (Dan) of Marion and Jason Bries (Katie) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Marie, Noah, Olivia Odson, Brittney, Ian, Chase, Kaden, Teaghen Rieder, Benjamin, Thomas Digmann and Brody Bries; his stepgranddaughter Grace Waseskuk; and his siblings, Thelma Oberbroeckling (David) of New Vienna, Carol Hartmann (John) of Guttenberg, LeRoy Bries (Verna) of Guttenberg, Roger Bries of Dyersville, Virgil Bries (Janice) of Luxemburg, Kenneth Bries (Lois) of Dyersville, Elmer Bries (Theresa) of Monona, Michael Bries (Marita) of New Vienna, Ronald Bries (Lee) of Dyersville, Harold Bries (Lois) of Guttenberg, Gerald Bries (Karen) of Dyersville and Arnold Bries (Joyce) of Dyersville.
