We bid farewell to Shirley A. Leliefeld of Guttenberg, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 29, 2025 at the age of 84. Shirley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Hinzman and Dorothy Hinzman (Havelick); her husband Allen Leliefeld of Mary's Catholic Church; her daughter Christine Cherne; her siblings, Rosalie Duwe, Ronald, Ralph, Roger, Raymie Hinzman and Mary Lou Harbaugh; and her in-laws, Albert and Helen Leliefeld.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandy Ashline (Jeff); her grandchildren, Nick Ashline (Iveth), Stephanie Ashline, Truman (Emma), Sophie and Charlie Cherne; her great grandchildren, Michael and Lily Ashline; and her siblings, Pat Meyer (Terry), Bob Hinzman (Donna) and Rick Hinzman (Deb).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (520 S 2nd St, Guttenberg, IA 52052). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at the St. Mary's Cemetery (31478 Osterdock Rd, Guttenberg, IA 52052).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guttenberg.
