It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Obershaw (Guttenberg, Iowa), born in Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on July 5, 2019, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Obershaw and Doris Obershaw (Bernhardt); his wife LuAnn; his siblings, Walter Obershaw, Patricia Smith, Robert Obershaw and Ruth Blackburn; his mother-in-law Bernita Leliefeld; and his brothers-in-law, Dennis Phelan and James Leliefeld.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Obershaw (Jared Gruhl) of Denver, CO and Shelley Hatlan (Jason) of Prairie; his grandson Tucker Hatlan; his stepgrandson Arthur Hatlan; his siblings, Marilyn Treder of Beloit, WI, Sandy Smyth (Mike) of Dubuque, IA and Richard Obershaw (Elaine) of Lakeville, MN; and his parents-in-law, Dennis Leliefeld (Nel), Kathy Phelan, Kevin Leliefeld (Beth), Terry Leliefeld (Mara) and Larry Leliefeld (Rona). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
