He was predeceased by: his parents, George Heeren and Ida Heeren (Plummer); his wife Dorothy Heeren; his brother Dallas Heeren; and his son-in-law Rick Hawley.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Heeren (Holly) of Alexander, Dean Heeren (Vicki) of Hampton, Mary Hawley (Steve Helmke) of Belmond and Paul Heeren (Kathy) of Hampton; and his grandchildren, David, John Heeren (Rita), Ben Heeren, Jeshua Heeren, Tyler Heeren (Arizona), Stephany Heeren (Darren), Emily Hurley (Ryan), Mandy Chaney (Jamie), Krista Carlson (Jeremy), Joe Perez, Kim Troyer (John) and Kacey Bauwens (Jake). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and other extended relatives.
