It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilfred Weihs (Harlan, Iowa), who passed away on May 4, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Weihs and Catherine Weihs (Stinn); his spouse JoAnn Hilda Schumacher; his son-in-law Steve Nichols; and his siblings, Edna Weihs, Alfred Weihs, Bernice Anastasi, Louis Weihs, Rita Claussen and Marilyn Williamson.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Karen Weihs (Richard Lane) of Tuscon, AZ, Connie Booth (Sandy) of Boone, IA, Gary Weihs (Diane) of Harlan, IA, Linda Hansen (Brent) of Avoca, IA, Mary Buchanan (Scott) of San Anselmo, CA, John Weihs of Hudson, IA and Toni Nichols of Elkhorn, NE; his grandchildren, Nate Booth (Anne), John Booth (Shelly), Lauren Booth, Michael Weihs (Emily Quinn), David Weihs (Fabiola), Jenny Holsing (Ross), Ashley Villaverde (Marc), Adam Hansen (Jenny), Nikki Nagl (Marcus), Patrick Carabell, Josephine Nichols and Caroline Nichols; his sister Joanne Kostanecki (Mike) of Boise, ID; and his brother-in-law Jack Claussen of Harlan, IA. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
