Rachel Jessie Yungeberg Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Jessie Yungeberg of Hawarden, Iowa, who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Volentine and Mable Volentine (Fox); her husband Harry Dale Yungeberg; her son Ernest Dale; her siblings, Vivian Leininger (Robert), Darlene Rutledge (Durwood) and Donald Volentine; her brother-in-law Robert Dodds; her niece Cathie Rutledge; her nephews, Dean Leininger, Gerald Leininger and Timothy Volentine; and also, Ray (Velma), Jane Drinen (Ralph), Theresa Ovellete and Wanda.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Ailene (Marlin) of Ireton, Marilyn Plueger (Dennis) of Le Mars and Ernie Yungeberg (Mary) of Valley Springs; her sister Delores Thilges (Leroy) of Algona; her sister-in-law Marie Volentine of Council Bluffs, Iowa; her grandchildren, Scott Eilts (Shahin), Christopher Eilts (Shauna), Brett Eilts (Jolynne), Chad Plueger (Shelly), Jeromy Plueger (Kelly), Brian Plueger (Alisha), Katie Detloff, Christopher Yungeberg (Heather) and Michael Yungeberg (Katie); and her friends, Linda Waterman, Harlan and Linda Van Egdom. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
Her family requests memorials be directed to the Associated Church in Hawarden, Hillcrest Health Care Services Activity Fund in Hawarden, or St. Croix Hospice in Sioux City.
