He was predeceased by: his father Arnold Reekers; and his parents-in-law, Gordon Dittmer and JoAnne Dittmer. He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Carrie Church (Dean) of New Hartford, Michael Reekers of Waterloo and Tanner Schelle of Minneapolis; his grandchildren, Micah Johnson of New Hartford, Melody Johnson of New Hartford, Jersey Church of New Hartford, Emily Church of New Hartford and Zachary Church of New Hartford; and his siblings, Leon Reekers (Carol) of Hull, Pamela Dekkers (Harold) of Hawarden, Steve Reekers (Jolene), Rhonda Van Zanten (Terry) of Rock Valley, Mark Reekers (Lyn) of Sioux Center and Laura Mulder (Darlo) of Sioux Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
