He is survived by : his wife Vicki Reitz; his children, Stephanie Corr (Andrew) and Jeremie Reitz (April); his grandchildren, Calvin, Zane, Ethan (Alexia), Caleb (Hanna) and Alana; his great grandchildren, Luke Ray, Cole Steven and Ivy Alice; his siblings, Emil (Jimi), John (Karen) and Emily Hoaglund; his siblings-in-law, Mike (Anna), Mickey (Deb), Gaylen (Nora), Henry (Candy), Diane Reitz and Karman Reitz; and his close friend Rose Brueck. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ida Grove Conervation Center (299 Jasper Ave, Ida Grove, IA 51445). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ida Grove Conservation Center (299 Jasper Ave, Ida Grove, IA 51445).
