It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Osterhaus of Independence, Iowa, born in Dyersville, Iowa, who passed away on October 11, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Anton Lukan and Helen Lukan (Tobin); her husband Walter Osterhaus; her son Dan Osterhaus; and her granddaughter Angela Tutwiler.

She is survived by : her former life partner Walt Osterhaus; her children, Ken Osterhaus (Phyl) of Ankeny, IA, Steve Osterhaus (Sandy), Chris Tutwiler (Charlie), Cathy Rosene (Bruce), Sue Greiner (Dave), Nancy Hosch (Jim), Maria McCalley (Chris) and Lisa Geiger (Jim); her sister Donnie Ronan of Kansas City, KS; her daughter-in-law Margaret Hosch; and her sons, Bob Lukan, Tom Lukan, Bill Lukan and Wayne Lukan. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
