He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his parents, Kinsey Neely and Nellie Neely; and his siblings, Roland Eugene Neely and Carolyn Fenimore.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Neely (Donna), Gary Neely (Amy), David Neely (Jean) and Julie Carr (Jeff). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; cousins and many other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125).
