It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Adel Afifi of Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on October 18, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his children, Rima and Walid; his spouse Larry Anna Patten; his daughter-in-law Tammy; and his granddaughters, Leah, Loulwa, Tala, Leila and Rania. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
