He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Goepferd and Lois Goepferd (Brendgard). He is survived by: his wife Bernie; his daughters, Angela Kade Goepferd and Leah Isbell; his grandchildren, Sam, Theo, Jack, Eve and Gus; and his siblings, John Goepferd (Isabel) and Vicki Kirvan.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be planting a memorial tree in Steve's honor, and any contributions can be mailed to Goepferd Family via Lensing Funeral & Cremation Services at PO Box 167, Iowa City, Iowa 52244.
