He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lester Pfister and Alma Pfister; his children, Kevin Pfister (Dana), Lorie Stransky and Mike Pfister (Jen); his stepchildren, Reggie Swartzendruber (Sue), Vicki Wear (Jerry), Randy Swartzendruber (Joy), Kevin (Candas) and Melanie Justice; his siblings, Muriel Schini (Bob) and Robert Pfister; his wife Nadine; his sister-in-law Marietta Pfister (Robert); and his stepson Darin Swartzendruber. He was also cherished by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
