She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman A Haafke and Jeanette Haafke (Foote); her husband H. Wayne Johnson; her daughters, Marilyn and Carolyn; and her brothers, Donald, Richard and Raymond.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Kevin Tappan; her grandson Trenton Tappan (Emilee); her great grandchildren, Tate and Reese Tappan; her granddaughter Carly Tappan; her daughter Sawyer Shatek; her granddaughter Nicole Kruse; her great grandchildren, Timothy Mills, Chloe Mills and Lilly Mills; and her sister Joanne Haafke. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The H. Wayne and Donna J. Johnson Undergraduate Scholarship at the University of Iowa school through the University Foundation, The Unitarian Universalist Society, or the Essence of Life Hospice.
