We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Fern Weir of Iowa City, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Dannen and Margaret Dannen (Smith); her husband Harold Weir; and her siblings, Elizabeth Gowdy, Ardys Luiken, Shirley Mehlow and George Dannen.

She is survived by : her children, Alberta Weir Aldahl of Northfield, MN, Clayton Weir (Diane) of Coralville, IA and Dale Weir (Anne) of Iowa City, IA; her son-in-law George Aldahl of Northfield, MN; her grandchildren, Peter Aldahl (Holly Carlson) of Rosemount, MN, Timothy Aldahl (Megan Braun Aldahl) of Northfield, MN, Larissa Weir (Maria) of Fairfax, VA, Jennifer Gloria of Phoenix, AZ and Nathan Weir of Iowa City, IA; and her great grandchildren, Jay, Aidan, Vincent, Owen, Maxton, Garrett, Greyson, Andrew and Allison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UnityPoint Hospice - Cedar Rapids.
