He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Farkas and Borbala Farkas (Burinda); his son Steven; and his grandchildren, Joseph and Jessica Farkas.
He is survived by: his son Ron (Ann Farkas); his grandchildren, Matthew Farkas, Jonathan Farkas, Katie Farkas, Lea Guldenpfennig (Mike), Amy Farkas and Rachel Garms (Adam); and his great grandchildren, Michael, Ethan and Ada.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service (2720 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240).
