It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gregory M. Cilek of Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on October 9, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul and Lorada; his wife Maureen Burns; his children, Catherine and Henry (Kaitlin); his close friend Brenda; his stepchildren, Ezra Layman and Isaak Layman; his siblings, Mary Fran Robertson (Stefan), Beth Kerr (Jim), Mike (Judy), Steve (Sandy), Terri Condon, Nick (Carmen) and Dan (Shelley); and his pets, Koda, Grüner and Kika.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Greg's memory to either the Englert Theatre, Film Scene, or Horace Mann School, all of Iowa City and very important to Greg.
