He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Corcoran and Anna Corcoran (Mangan); his wife Constance; his daughter Amy Jo; and his siblings, Beverly Kerns and Bobby Corcoran.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Corcoran of North Liberty, Kathleen Corcoran Matthes (Burl) of Solon, Tim "T. J." Corcoran (Laurie) of Des Moines and Michael Corcoran of North Liberty.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service- Iowa City (605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City, IA 52244-0167). A Mass will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church - Iowa City (228 E Jefferson St, Iowa City, IA 52245).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to the James Corcoran Memorial Fund. The family will donate these funds to the causes most important to Jim.
